Black colour is obtained from iron fillings boiled together with " Siluka " ( Terminalia Chebula Retz ).

Though found naturally in a variety of plant sources including walnuts " Terminalia myriocarpa " or chebulic myrobolan ( " Terminalia chebula " ).

The primary barks processed in bark mills and used in modern times are chestnut, wattle ( acacia; see catechol ), and myrobalans from " Terminalia " spp ., such as " Terminalia chebula ".

Hydrolyzable tannins are present in many different plant species but are found in particularly high concentrations in nutgalls growing on Rhus semialata ( Chinese and Korean gallotannins ) and Quercus infectoria ( Turkish and Chinese gallotannins ), the seedpods of Caesalpinia spinosa ( Tara tannins ), and the fruits of Terminalia chebula.

Some varieties are Hollokh ( Terminalia myriocarpa ), Ajhar ( Lagerstroemia speciosa ), Simolu ( Bombax ceiba or Salmalia malabarica ), Sum ( Machilus ), Gomari ( Gmelina arborea ), Sisu ( Dalbergia sissoo ), Silikha ( Terminalia chebula ), Neem ( Azadirachta indica ), Nahar ( Mesua ferrea ) etc . Wild elephants, buffaloes, tigers, deer etc . are there in the forests.

In the northern portions of the district, the forest trees are Teak ( Tectona grandis ), Sal ( Shoraaro-busta ), Sirsa ( Dalbergia latifolia ), Bijasal ( Ptetocarpus marsupium ), Kusum ( Schleichera trijuga ), Palas ( Butea frondosa ), Mahua ( Bassia latifolia ) Tendu ( Diospyos melanoxylon ), Harra ( Terminalia chebula ) Aonla ( Phyllanthus emblica ) Saja ( Terminalla tomentosa ), Kauha ( T . arjuna ), Salai ( Boswellia serrata ), Char ( Buchanania latifolia ) and others.
